Corporate Citizenship

Enabling communities and economies to prosper

As a responsible global corporate citizen, Deutsche Bank acts to enable communities and economies to prosper. Deutsche Bank has a long-standing track record as a corporate citizen that dates back to the early 20th century and which is based on the firm belief that our responsibility extends beyond our core business.

The ever-increasing pace of change is putting pressure on the world’s resources, but, at the same time, it is increasing the possibilities for progress and for opening up new ways to address issues such as poverty, inequality, and disadvantage. We view our corporate citizenship as an investment in society and in the future success of our company.

In Asia, our corporate citizenship programmes are managed through the Deutsche Bank Asia Foundation (DBAF). Working in partnership with non-profit organisations, governments and expert project facilitators, DBAF aims to identify community issues of greatest need which require funding.

Together, Deutsche Bank’s Born to Be, In the Community, Made for Good and Plus You programmes form a powerful corporate citizenship strategy, helping to equip businesses and people (especially the marginalised and the disadvantaged) with the knowledge, skills and opportunities they need to prosper.

Born to Be

We created Born to Be to help young people reach their full potential. Our projects increase motivation, develop skills and improve access to education and employment opportunities.

Made for Good

We want to empower startups, non-profits and commercial businesses that create wider social good. Our Made for Good programme provides access to advice, support and networks to help them scale up.

In the community

Wherever we do business we work to build stronger and more inclusive communities. We focus our efforts on the most disadvantaged through projects that deliver basic welfare, improve essential infrastructure and provide relief in emergencies.

Plus You

Deutsche Bank employees can volunteer and contribute to their favourite charities and support the Bank's charity partners through Plus You, the Bank's volunteering and giving community.

Around the globe, Deutsche Bank employees are making a world of difference to peoples’ lives by sharing their skills and resources. Employees volunteer in activities ranging from mentoring young students and budding social businesses to building homes and planting trees. As well as giving their time, fundraising by Deutsche Bank employees and businesses in the region contributes hundreds of thousands of euros to various causes every year.
