150 Years of connecting the UK to the world.
Deutsche Bank in the United Kingdom
Deutsche Bank chooses to base its largest investment banking operations in the City of London, a centre of global flows of trade and wealth. We use this position as a global bank to keep our UK clients connected to markets, and help clients do business all over the world.
This year is Deutsche Bank’s 150th anniversary in the UK. Our long-standing presence in the UK shows our commitment to supporting our clients here and around the world as their Global Hausbank. We opened our first London office back in 1873. Since then we’ve helped the UK become a global centre for capital, trading, investment and wealth. We are part of the fabric of the economy and society, working with government to provide what the country needs, helping to build and maintain the infrastructure behind everyday life, and changing lives and futures through our corporate social responsibility programme. More than 7,000 people work for Deutsche Bank in London and Birmingham. Our diverse workforce of more than 100 nationalities reflects our global perspective. We want everyone who works here to feel welcomed, accepted, respected and supported.
Over the years, we have helped businesses, families, and communities prosper and grow, and we are committed to financing the future sustainably.
