Holiday gift giving goes virtual

The generosity of our colleagues throughout the US make the holiday season brighter for underserved communities.

This year, the needs of our communities have hit record highs. As holiday programming shifted online, Deutsche Bank employees put in hard work to make sure children and families received warmth and cheer during this challenging holiday season.

CSR Americas participated in Secret Snowflake, NYC’s holiday wish-granting program, for the first year. Through this initiative, employees received a digital wish letter from youth in city shelters and students experiencing homelessness. Across 14 divisions of the bank, employees fulfilled 1,000 letters.

Sheila Saffold of Jacksonville led an ambitious wish-granting effort that nearly doubled the response from its previous year. Over 62 cases were adopted by the DB campus in Jacksonville, resulting in over 120 gifts benefitting youth and families in need served by UF Health Jacksonville.

In Cary, Sheila Carter generously coordinated wish lists for children in foster care through the Children’s Home Society of North Carolina’s annual “Hope for the Holidays” drive.

A special thank you to all Deutsche Bank team leaders:
