2013 California-Pacific Triennial

The 2013 California-Pacific Triennial at the Orange County Museum of Art (OCMA) will explore contemporary art from around the Pacific Rim

The Triennial is a reconfiguration of OCMA’s California Biennial, which Deutsche Bank has sponsored four previous times. For the past 25 years, OCMA has presented the only regular survey of contemporary art in California, consistently offering audiences the newest developments in one of the world's great creative centers, and supporting the work of many artists who have gone on to enjoy major international careers. The Triennial will expand its scope to a broader cross-section of countries throughout the Pacific Rim, placing California within the context of its Asian and Latin American neighbors. With 32 artists from 15 countries featured, the Triennial will examine the cross-cultural connections of the Pacific region,.

“My goal is for our public to experience the Triennial as a genuine celebration of artistic possibilities, nurtured here or brought to California from all these nations and peoples with whom we share the Pacific Ocean,” said Dan Cameron, OCMA Chief Curator and director of the Triennial.
