Deutsche Bank is also pleased to support the CA 2010 Biennial at the Orange County Museum of Art (OCMA) for the fourth time. The Biennial, highly anticipated by contemporary art enthusiasts across the country, is a cornerstone of OCMA’s program and continues the museum's history of presenting new developments in contemporary art in California. The 2010 CA Biennial will feature a selection of works by approximately 45 of the most interesting and important artists and collaborative groups working throughout the state today. The artworks engage through politics, humor, and aesthetics, questioning social practices, playing with forms of identity, and using performance and audience participation; all hallmarks of art in the 21st century. As always, there will be artworks specially commissioned for the Biennial, artist residencies that focus on the community, and innovative new work by a diversity of young artists living in one of the world’s great creative capitals. In addition to approximately 150 works of art and installations on display, the museum is also the site for approximately 30 programs and performances. The CA 2010 Biennial is organized by Sarah Bancroft, Curator of Art at OCMA.
