Abdulrahman Al Hamidy
Independent/ non-executive Member

Abdulrahman Al Hamidy is a distinguished economist and financial sector leader with more than three decades of experience in central banking, economic policy and regional financial institutions.

He served as Director General Chairman of the Board of the Arab Monetary Fund and Chief Executive Officer of the Arab Trade Financing Program from 2014 to 2023. Prior to that, he held several senior positions at the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA), including Vice Governor, Deputy Governor for Technical Affairs, and Director General of Research and Statistics.

Dr. Al Hamidy has served on numerous boards and committees, including SAMA, SABIC, the Saudi Industrial Development Fund and the Saudi Stock Exchange, and has represented the Kingdom in major international forums including the IMF, World Bank, BIS and G20 meetings.

He holds a PhD and a Master's degree in Economics from the University of Oregon, United States, and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from King Saud University.

Jamal Al Kishi
Board Member and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Deutsche Securities Saudi Arabia

Based in Riyadh, Jamal Al Kishi rejoined Deutsche Bank after a four-year stint as CEO of Gulf International Bank BSC. Prior to that he occupied several positions within Deutsche Bank, including CEO MEA, and CEO of Deutsche Securities Saudi Arabia.

Jamal’s banking experience comprises roles in Corporate Finance, Capital Markets, Structured and Project Finance, Corporate Banking and Asset Management.

He holds an MBA in Finance and Banking and an Engineering Degree and has attended several specialized training programs.

Basil Abulhamayel
Independent/ non-executive Member

Basil Abulhamayel is an experienced business leader with extensive expertise in finance, investments, corporate strategy and governance developed over a career spanning more than three decades.

He is currently Chief Financial Officer of The National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia (Bahri). Previously, he held several senior executive positions at Saudi Aramco, including General Manager of New Business Development, President and CEO of Aramco Services Company in the United States, Executive Head of Treasury, and General Manager of Corporate and Project Finance. He also worked with the World Bank Group and served in senior leadership positions across Saudi Arabia, the United States and Asia.

Mr. Abulhamayel has extensive board and committee experience, having served on the boards of several local and international companies across the energy, refining, logistics and investment sectors.

He holds an MBA in Finance from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from The University of Texas at Austin.

Mohammed Babgi
Independent/ non-executive Member

Mohammed Babgi is a seasoned executive and board member with extensive experience across both the public and private sectors, including strategy, investments, governance and large-scale transformation programmes.

Over his career, he has held a number of senior leadership positions, including Senior Advisor to the Minister at the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs, Senior Advisor to the CEO of NEOM, Chief of Staff to the Minister of Housing, Managing Director of MTA Holdings, and Managing Director of the Investment Portfolio at Bin Laden International Holding Group.

Mr. Babgi has served on the boards and committees of numerous organisations across the financial services, investment, construction, real estate and technology sectors, including Al Khabeer Capital and several leading Saudi companies.

He holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Civil and Infrastructure Security Engineering from George Mason University, Virginia, United States, and is a licensed Professional Engineer with the Saudi Council of Engineers.

Pat O’Connell
Non-Executive Member

Based in Singapore, Pat O'Connell is Head of Regional Finance and Chief Financial Officer for Asia Pacific and Middle East & Africa at Deutsche Bank.

During his career with Deutsche Bank, he has held a number of senior regional finance leadership roles, including Head of Regional Finance APAC, CFO for Global Financing and Credit Trading, and CFO for Asia Pacific Global Foreign Exchange, Commodities and Emerging Markets businesses. Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, he spent nine years with Merrill Lynch in various product control, middle office and operations roles.

Mr. O'Connell is a Chartered Accountant and a member of Chartered Accountants Ireland. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from University College Cork, Ireland.

Marco Pagliara
Non-Executive Member

Based in Singapore, Marco Pagliara is Head of Private Bank Emerging Markets at Deutsche Bank and a member of the Global Executive Committee of the Private Bank.

Prior to his current role, he served as Head of Private Bank EMEA and Chief Executive Officer of Deutsche Bank Switzerland. Before joining Deutsche Bank in 2019, Mr. Pagliara spent more than 16 years at Goldman Sachs, where he held a number of senior leadership positions across Europe and the United States, including General Manager of the Swiss Bank and Chief Operating Officer for Private Wealth Management EMEA. Earlier in his career, he worked at McKinsey & Company.

Mr. Pagliara holds an MBA in Finance from Columbia Business School and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Bocconi University, where he graduated with highest honours.
