Emma-Jane Newton to join Deutsche Bank as Head of Investment Banking Coverage & Advisory for Australia and New Zealand
Deutsche Bank is pleased to announce that Emma-Jane Newton will join the team as Head of Investment Banking Coverage & Advisory for Australia and New Zealand (ANZ).
Emma-Jane has over 20 years’ experience in investment banking and joins us from Morgan Stanley where she was the Head of General Industries Coverage. Previously, she held various leadership roles at Telstra and Credit Suisse across Australia, New York and London, including as Head of TMT, Australia.
In addition, Emma-Jane is the Chair of the Sydney Dance Company and a member of the Australia Takeovers Panel. Emma-Jane will join the bank early next year and will be based in Sydney.
Mayooran Elalingam, Head of Investment Banking Coverage & Advisory for Asia Pacific, said: “This appointment is part of our global strategy to grow our Origination & Advisory business and reflects the importance of the Australian market for our bank.”
This announcement follows the appointments of Karla Wynne as Head of Consumer, Retail and Healthcare for ANZ and David Geddes as Head of M&A for ANZ earlier this year.
Deutsche Bank’s Origination and Advisory business provides strategic advisory and financing solutions to corporates, financial institutions, financial sponsors and sovereigns from around the world. The team leverages the bank’s strong international network to provide large scale, bespoke solutions across both coverage areas and products.
