Deutsche Bank finances RATCH-Australia’s 450MW renewable portfolio

Deutsche Bank acted as Mandated Lead Arranger for a debt facility totaling 495 million Australian Dollars to finance three operational renewable energy projects for RATCH-Australia

The projects include the 226.8 megawatt (MW) Collector Wind Farm, 180.5MW Mt Emerald Wind Farm, and 42.5MW Collinsville Solar Farm.

This transaction marks the third Project Finance deal in the Renewable Energy sector by Deutsche Bank in the past four months. 

RATCH Group is listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand and its majority shareholder at 45% ownership is the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (“EGAT”), Thailand’s state-owned power utility under the Ministry of Energy. RATCH Group is Thailand’s largest independent power producer, owning 7GW equity installed power generation assets and 1.2 gigawatt (GW) under construction or in development (as of June 2021).
