Deutsche Bank appoints Darren Boulos as Co-Head of Global FX for Asia Pacific

Deutsche Bank today announced that Darren Boulos will re-join the bank as Co-Head of GFX for Asia Pacific, based in Sydney.

Darren was previously with Deutsche Bank in Australia for almost a decade as Head of FIC, before he relocated to Singapore to join BNY Mellon as Head of FX Sales and Trading for APAC. During his over three-decade career, Darren has held key FIC roles across Sydney, Singapore, London and Tokyo.

Russell LaScala, Global Head of FX, said: “As we continue to invest in areas where we see considerable opportunity, we look forward to having Darren re-join the team to help drive our leading GFX franchise across Asia Pacific, the growth engine for our bank.”

As announced earlier this week, Deutsche Bank has been ranked the overall FX Market Leader by market share in the 2022 Euromoney FX Survey, including regaining the No.1 position for Asia Pacific.

“We look forward to welcoming Darren back to Deutsche Bank in Australia and further developing our position as one of Deutsche Bank’s global FX hubs,” added Glenn Morgan, CEO for Australia.

Darren takes over from Lee Merchant, who recently relocated to London to take on the role as Global Head of Spot Trading at Deutsche Bank. An announcement regarding the Co-Head position for Asia Pacific will come in due course.
